Hello,

In the Journal Transaction Writeback template, is it possible to include the allocation field? It so, is it easy to add other fields to the template?

Thanks!

Hi Nathan,

It's on the roadmap for the next iteration. Note that you can very easily add the column to an existing template: instructions are here: https://www.loom.com/share/72621dbb1db1484a8006239a08bd681d

Hi Nathan. It might be a good idea to review this on a quick call. I'm going to send you an email to schedule a meeting for this, looking forward to that :)

Hello,

I made the updates as described in the video. However, in my 2 line entry, (Debit 4210 - 5,000 ; Credit 1330 - 5,000) I populated the Allocation ID field and left the location blank. When I wroteback the entry into intacct, it populated the location and left the Allocation ID empty.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Do you have a timeline of when this would be rolled out?

We would want to use a pre-defined allocation rule.

To clarify Nathan, are you looking to use a pre-defined allocation and just enter the allocation ID, or you want to define it on the fly? Adding the allocation column as pre-defined column would be simple for us.

Thanks Gabriel, the Journal Writeback Template is a really nice feature of Velixo and does not really require a working knowledge of the WritebackJournal function. Adding the allocation field would be extremely helpful.

Thanks!

Hi Nathan,

The template doesn't include this information by default, but the SI.WRITEBACKJOURNAL function does support the allocations. This is documented here: https://help.velixo.com/support/solutions/articles/153000015805

I will ask for an example and revert back.
