I'm testing Velixo for Business Central (BC) and my hope quickly faded when I saw how connections are handled. There are two key issues:
Users are forced to manually add each BC company as a new connection. For groups with many companies, this is slow and painful. The Velixo plug-in should allow multiple companies from a single environment to be selected, thus easing set up. Perhaps a user could just pick the environment and be shown a default list of all the available companies with default names (the company name) for the connection name, with checkboxes beside each for the user to deselect any not desired.
The plug-in should be able to save and recall a group of connections (call it favourites or whatever). That way, if I load up a new sheet, it's quick to load all the typical connections. This is a key issue versus Velixo competitors--no other ones require you to set up connections every time. They're saved by the plugin.
A potential way to solve both issues at once, and improve ease of use for all users at a company, is to have the Velixo extension in BC serve as the "single source of truth" for connections: the BC admin would create a list of allowable connections and their names for the plugin. The plugin then just pulls that from the server and never needs to ask the user to create a connection. The connection list already exists and is consistent for all users.
These are important issues for BC users.

Hi Chauncey,
We have been working on a new feature named cloud connections that will allow you to create favourites connections. This will allow you to quickly add a connection to a new workbook. As it stands today, it would not completely solve the scenario you have in mind for multi-company environments, but we think this can be added as well, with a list of checkboxes. I will discuss this with our CTO today.

Until that is available, keep in mind that you can use this technique as well to have a standard template with predefined connections when you want to create a new workbook: https://help.velixo.com/doc/main/business-central/saving-connection-information-for-future-access.
P.S. I will reach out by e-mail, would love to discuss this with you live and get additional feedback. Thanks so much!
